The Bespoke Package

This support package includes a retainer and a tailored annual helpline subscription which keeps you at the front of best practice and international legal requirements.

Retainer (£7,500)
The retainer includes:

  • entitlement to the bespoke helpline subscription;
  • 7 hours’ consultancy;
  • annual review;
  • periodic helpline briefings
  • preferential access to other services;
  • our compliance toolkit and revised editions; and
  • a licence to reproduce PCaW intellectual property in print and on intranet.

Helpline subscription (25 pence per employee per year)
Our bespoke helpline offers your staff confidential advice on whether and how to raise a concern and helps deliver the integrity of the company’s policy while supporting - rather than undermining - management accountability. It includes an option for us to forward to you concerns from your staff. The support is provided through a personalised freephone number and a dedicated email facility - backed up by poster templates to promote the arrangements. Reports on helpline usage are provided twice a year or as agreed. The bespoke service can also help avert or defuse private disputes.

The package can also include:

Expert training (£2,500 per session)
These comprehensive in-house training sessions can be aimed at designated officers or senior, regional or local managers as appropriate.

Staff Surveys (£7,500)
A 20 point survey tailored to your needs that gives your Board and Audit Committee valuable information on risk management, compliance cultures and whistleblowing. The fee includes design, consultation, promotion, hosting, analysis, review and report. Experience shows our surveys not only inform you how the whistleblowing arrangements can be improved but also raise awareness and understanding across the organisation.

Additional consultancy (from £250 per hour)
Additional advice and support is available from our expert lawyers starting at £250 per hour for bespoke subscribers.

Small print
Annual packages are made up from the above list and are invoiced in advance. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate. Out-of-pocket expenses and travelling time - calculated at 50% of the hourly rate – are chargable. Our standard terms and conditions apply unless otherwise agreed.

The Compliance Toolkit

Our compliance toolkit, the policy pack, is the authoritative guide on complying with the Public Interest Disclosure Act. It is a step-by step guide to an effective whistleblowing policy. It has an Introductory Booklet, an Implementation Guide, an annotated version of the full Act and nine practical tools, including a model policy and promotional material. The policy pack, on CD-ROM, costs £187.50 (excluding VAT) and is included in all subscription packages.

Practical Hints for Small Employers

Organisations with a small number of employees may reasonably think it is not necessary to set up a detailed whistleblowing policy. The practical tips set out at this link below may nonetheless be useful in these circumstances.
